The Urge of Great National Unity: A New Broad-Based National Party

1. Bangladesh Nationalist Party

The freedom and sovereignty of Bangladesh, the valuable outcome of our historical liberation struggle, are our sacred trust and inviolable right. The primary and essential requirement of our time is to ensure the strength and security of our beloved motherland's independence and sovereignty, which is more precious than life itself. The course of history and our recent experiences teach us that a united and coordinated mass effort is the everlasting safeguard of Bangladesh's independence and sovereignty. The custodians of an independent and sovereign Bangladesh are as follows:

1. A strong and unbreakable mass unity built on the foundation of Bangladeshi nationalism,

2. Democracy and politics grounded in the people's aspirations, and

3. National economic liberation, self-reliance, and progress attained through the relentless endeavors of a united and well-organized populace.

Without a robust and unshakable sense of national unity and self-sufficiency in our economy, it becomes challenging to shield our national sovereignty and independence from the clutches of imperialism, expansionism, and new-colonialism.

The lack of national unity, particularly the absence of understanding and basic cohesion among patriotic forces and groups, can render a seemingly poor yet developing nation like Bangladesh vulnerable to foreign hegemony and internal destructive processes. The history of the past few years has served as evidence of the validity of this analysis. Exploiting our national disunity and discord, imperialist, new-colonialist, and expansionist forces have not only hindered Bangladesh's development and progress but also engaged in subversive activities aimed at reversing our achievements. The actions of these malicious forces have resulted in the erosion of our sovereignty, severe disruptions in agricultural and industrial production, a subservient political landscape influenced by foreign powers, a profound crisis of values and confusion of totalitarianism in foreign policy, as well as attacks on academia and the proliferation of immense anarchy.

In essence, the Bangladeshi nation's independent, sovereign, and civilized existence encountered a catastrophe. However, the United National Revolution of November 7, 1975 marked the end of this dreadful period and ushered in a new era, which has been prominently evident in the past two and a half years. The constructive aspect of unity based on national interests has been effectively mobilized in our public life, as demonstrated by the election of the first President of independent Bangladesh on June 3, 1978, through a presidential election process that enjoyed overwhelming vote from adult Bangladeshi citizens.

The events that unfolded from November 7, 1975, to June 3, 1978, and beyond serve as evidence that the people of Bangladesh strongly oppose foreign dominance and internal turmoil. History's verdict is clear: the Bangladeshi people are determined to see the implementation of the Nineteen Points. They aspire to safeguard the independence, unity, and sovereignty of their country. Moreover, they desire the principles of unwavering faith in Almighty Allah, democracy, nationalism, and socialism, which uphold social and economic justice, to be ingrained in all aspects of national life.

The people of Bangladesh aspire for a life where basic necessities such as food, clothing, healthcare, education, and shelter are not lacking. They seek to strengthen national unity and solidarity, avoiding the pitfalls of division and helplessness. The current demand of the awakened masses is crystal clear - the establishment of a strong mass unity and populism based on nationalism. A revitalized and united nation must strive for economic independence, breaking free from the grip of imperialism, hegemonic expansionism, and new-colonialism. In response to these demands, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party has been formed through the collaboration of political parties, groups, and individuals within the Nationalist Front. It is a party dedicated to national unity and solidarity. With genuine hope and unwavering faith, we believe that the inclusive and transformative nature of this party will bring stability, progress, and overall improvement at the national level by uniting all patriotic individuals in this steadfast pursuit of unity.

2. Solidification of Mass Unity Based on Nationalism

Throughout history, the people of Bangladesh have maintained a unique identity and distinct characteristics that set them apart from other ethnicity in the subcontinent. Their geographical location, shared historical experiences, linguistic and cultural unity, and common heritage have laid the strong foundation of Bangladeshi nationalism. Centuries of struggle against foreign enemies, imperialism, colonialism, and hegemony have further fortified this national consciousness. The historic armed struggle for independence in 1971, known as the Liberation War, served as the final stage that consolidated and clarified the essence of Bangladeshi nationalism. Irrespective of religion, caste, or region, all Bangladeshis have united as one nation. Through their unwavering struggle for self-reliance, this nation has successfully established its own homeland, an independent and sovereign Bangladesh.

Religious beliefs and devotion hold a significant and enduring place within the Bangladeshi nation. The prolonged mass struggle against brutal and oppressive foreign rule has shaped the liberal religious spirit of Bangladeshi society, imbuing it with stability and nobility.

The majority of the Bangladeshi population practices Islam as their religion. The profound and noble characteristics of Islam are reflected in the national life of Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh have embraced the teachings of Islam, integrated them into the core values of the nation, and have successfully overcome the divisive influences of radical sectarianism. Regardless of their religious affiliation, caste, or social group, all Bangladeshi citizens have actively participated in the struggle for national independence and the pursuit of prosperity. They have forged a strong and unyielding mass unity based on the principles of nationalism. Strengthening this sense of unity is a primary objective of our party, as it is essential for safeguarding the independence and sovereignty of the nation.

3. The Imperative Demand for United Progress: The Politics of Production and People's Democracy

People-oriented politics is necessary to bring about overall improvement and progress through national unity and concerted effort. Centuries of misrule, exploitation, and oppression have inflicted poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition upon Bangladeshi society like a cruel curse. The vast majority of the population, more than ninety percent, live below the poverty line in rural areas, deprived of the basic amenities of modern civilization. Their average per capita income is so low that they cannot afford to provide food for two days, necessary clothing, and shelter. Around eighty percent of the population is illiterate, while malnutrition and poor health afflict the majority of Bangladeshis on a daily basis. Unwanted rapid population growth has intensified the vicious cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition, exacerbating its dangers. Unemployment and underemployment have condemned approximately sixty (60) to seventy (70) lakh able-bodied individuals to a life of struggle. Due to the lack of opportunities, half of the nation's women have been unable to fulfill their rightful role in the national production and development process, falling short of expectations.

In this context, people-oriented politics must be closely linked to national endeavors for achieving human-centered economic development and prosperity based on social justice. It is essential to clearly demonstrate the positive impact of efforts aimed at emancipating politics from the realm of confusion in national life, and all patriotic forces must continue practicing productive politics collectively and without hindrance.

A significant aspect of the Party's political activities will be the unwavering commitment to promoting politics as an active instrument in nation-building and fostering national prosperity and a robust economy. Every effort will be made to ensure that politics at the village level and among the masses remains free from the detrimental grip of palace intrigues. The Party will actively encourage and participate in the construction of infrastructure such as roads, dams, river and canal dredging, and pond development, as well as contribute to the growth of farms, factories, and cottage industries. Through these endeavors, the negative effects of divisive politics will dissipate, and capable, efficient, and dedicated leadership will emerge. The eradication of poverty, hunger, illiteracy, malnutrition, homelessness, and poor health will be pursued. Over time, this will enable the marginalized population to progress towards equitable economic development, achieving prosperity and a dignified standard of living.

4. Democracy of People

People's democracy is the vehicle and inevitable outcome of productive and life-sustaining politics. The so-called democratic structure and legal system often keep the rich, elite, and urban elites in power, while failing to bring hope, happiness, and prosperity to the lives of the people. Such a system is nothing but a mockery of freedom and equal rights in our country's context. Our party's objective and goal is to establish a realistic and people-oriented structure and system that can make decisions on all political, economic, and social issues in their respective fields and implement those decisions to transform the people's destiny and bring about national, social, and personal development and prosperity.

The party believes that economic self-reliance is crucial for the establishment of political freedom, both at the national level and in the lives of groups and individuals. This self-reliance necessitates conscious organization and grassroots planning and implementation by the people themselves. The people will solve their own problems through thoughtful effort, and the party believes that a people-oriented leadership, created by and accountable to the conscious and organized masses in village townships based on nationalist unity, will construct meaningful and genuine democratic structures at every level and region, which will find its highest expression in national life. The party considers conscious and well-organized masses, empowered to formulate and implement development plans and projects, as essential elements of people's democracy, and the party will dedicate its entire organizational structure and wholehearted efforts to achieve these goals.

The party's aim is to create a desirable situation where the roots of democracy are firmly embedded in the minds of the vast majority of people at the grassroots level. As a result, the people will become widely awakened and play the role of steadfast defenders of national independence, sovereignty, and democratic rights.

5. The Main Demand of People's Democracy: Stability

National independence and sovereignty are indeed fundamental requirements for a democratic system. The people are resolute in their determination to preserve the independence, integrity, sovereignty, and internal peace of Bangladesh. Stability, peace, and absolute security are the primary demands of the masses today. They aspire to safeguard their freedom and seek assurance of a clear and stable social and political system that enables them to achieve their own human, social, and economic progress.

Our party is firmly committed to permanently eliminating the activities of covert political organizations from the land of Bangladesh. We reject the formation of any armed cadre, party, or agency that may promote public opinion against terrorist activities, thereby ensuring national stability.

6. Basic Demand of People's Democracy: Elimination of Social Injustice and Discrimination

One of the fundamental and primary demands of people's democracy is to put an end to the long-standing social injustice and inequality perpetuated by imperialism, colonialism, and hegemony. To expedite this transformative process, it is imperative to establish honest, visionary, and stable political and administrative systems. No political or administrative structure can effectively address economic corruption or eliminate economic and social injustices caused by centuries of exploitation and oppressive rule solely for the benefit of the privileged upper class.

7. Sovereignty, Social Justice and Rapid Development: Stable Democracy

A parliamentary system of government, where the National Assembly is elected through direct voting by all adult citizens, has the potential to provide the stability and strong national consensus needed to uphold national independence and sovereignty, establish social justice, and drive rapid overall national development. In this system, a majority party in the national parliament, composed of elected representatives, assumes governance and establishes an accountable government to effectively serve the nation. Such a system can foster inclusivity, representation, and democratic decision-making processes, contributing to the progress and well-being of the country as a whole.

8. Fundamental Rights, Judiciary, and Rule of Law

Our party upholds the importance of an independent judiciary and the rule of law. We firmly believe in the principle that all citizens are equal in the eyes of the law. It is our commitment to safeguard and ensure the fundamental rights of all individuals within our society. We recognize the crucial role of a fair and impartial judiciary in upholding justice, protecting civil liberties, and maintaining the rule of law.

9. Revival of Extinct Human Values

The core objective of our party is to revive humanistic social values in the national life of Bangladesh. Over time, we have witnessed a decline in the values upheld by the educated and upper-class segments of society, which has had a detrimental impact on our social fabric. Inhumanity, injustice, lawlessness, and corruption have plagued our society.

For the past two and a half years, dedicated efforts have been made to address this challenging situation in Bangladesh. Our party is committed to strengthening these endeavors and ensuring their success. We are fully aware that the majority of people in our nation aspire for the welfare and prosperity of our country. We understand that the restoration and establishment of goodwill is an imperative. We are resolute in reinvigorating a sense of creative productivity and will mobilize all our energy and resources to achieve this goal.

10. Local Area Government and Decentralized Political Power

To strengthen productive politics and people's democracy, decentralization of power is crucial. Our party recognizes that mass-oriented politics will inevitably lead to the end of centralized power. We believe in gradually and rapidly increasing the power and efficiency of local governments. Through necessary constitutional, organizational, and administrative measures, we will decentralize power to enable local governments to fulfill their proper role in national life. The party will prioritize policies and organizational efforts to involve the long-deprived rural landless women and uneducated or semi-educated youth in local government, area development, and project formulation and implementation. This will ensure that local governments become instrumental in safeguarding and advancing the interests of beneficiaries, rather than being controlled by powerful elites. Our party's public awareness campaigns and organizational processes will be dedicated to achieving this goal.

11. The Economics of Social Justice

Our party firmly believes that equitable economic distribution based on social justice is essential for the development and well-being of the people. We refuse to accept a nation suffering from poverty, illiteracy, poor health, and exploitation, both domestically and internationally. Our goal is to facilitate the rapid progress of a practical and effective economic development process that leads to national self-sufficiency and translates into tangible improvements in people's lives.

The party aims to establish an economy that ensures fair distribution of resources and opportunities. This includes ensuring that farmers have access to two meals a day, laborers have fair opportunities for lawful livelihood, and the lower class has the right to lead a meaningful life. We strive for every Bangladeshi to have their basic needs met, including food, clothing, health, education, and minimum housing requirements. In essence, humanizing national economic and development efforts is the primary objective of our economic system.

To achieve this, the party believes that certain key economic sectors should remain state-owned while encouraging Bangladeshi private enterprises (with the preservation of national interests) in other industrial and manufacturing sectors. We will provide assistance and encouragement to both government and private enterprises in medium and small-scale industrial endeavors, promoting a balanced and inclusive economic landscape.

12. Overall Development and Utilization of Public Resources

One of our party's primary objectives is to accelerate national development and prosperity by harnessing the vast potential of the Bangladeshi population within the framework of people's democracy, productive politics, and a realistic and mass-oriented economic development process. We believe in transforming the large number of underemployed and semi-employed individuals in Bangladesh, who face challenges such as illiteracy, lack of skills, and limited opportunities, into self-reliant and productive citizens. The party fully supports the significant steps taken in this regard over the past two and a half years and aims to strengthen and expand this process further.

Our goal is to ensure that the 6 to 7 million unemployed individuals in Bangladesh find employment opportunities both domestically and internationally. Additionally, we aim to address the issue of underemployment and unemployment among the youth, who number over 20 million in the present decade. We believe that no working Bangladeshi should remain unemployed, especially in rural areas. To achieve this, we will prioritize the rapid and comprehensive expansion of vocational training, skill development, and cottage industries.

13. Overall Emancipation and Progress of Women in Society

Women constitute half of the citizens of Bangladesh. Due to age-old social norms and superstitions, women in Bangladesh have been unable to fully participate in nation-building and the national economic production process. However, recent efforts and encouragement have started to dismantle this undesirable and oppressive situation. Significant and effective initiatives are being undertaken in the fields of women's empowerment, social welfare, local governance, rural development, cottage industries, and medium and small-scale industries to involve women in the productive process.

The party's government will take comprehensive and concrete measures to further strengthen these efforts. We aim to create an environment where every woman can contribute to nation-building within her own circumstances and limitations. Our goal is to ensure the overall emancipation and progress of women in Bangladeshi society.

14. Utilization of Youth Power in Nation Building, Social Service, and Income Generating Activities

Out of the 80 million citizens of Bangladesh, approximately 15 million are youth aged 25 years and below. The majority of these youth reside in rural areas and many of them face limited opportunities outside the realm of educational institutions. It is crucial to harness the potential of this significant youth force and empower them to become economically self-reliant through vocational skill development programs. National youth service programs will be implemented across different regions of the country under the purview of social welfare. The youth cooperative movement will also be strengthened, particularly in the fields of cooperatives and rural development. Our party is dedicated to enhancing these initiatives and endeavors to engage the youth in constructive, developmental, and social service activities. Special attention will be given to implementing successful employment measures for educated unemployed youth, ensuring their participation in various developmental programs in the country.

15. Priority for Rural Development

Ninety percent of the population in Bangladesh resides in rural areas. Over the past two and a half years, relentless efforts have been made to foster an environment conducive to the overall development and prosperity of this predominantly undeserved population. Strengthening this foundation and ensuring the rapid economic and social progress of rural Bengal is one of the key objectives of our party. We are committed to bringing about revolutionary prosperity and comprehensive improvements in the lives of rural residents. Our party will spare no effort in eradicating poverty, hunger, and economic distress in rural Bengal.

Party to Achieve This Objective:

To achieve the objective of rural development and agricultural progress, our party will undertake the following measures:

  • Organize rural cottage industries, comprehensive agricultural education, fisheries education, vocational training, and production processes on a stronger and broader basis.
  • Promote literacy and life skills education among the rural population.
  • Implement a phased approach to ensure the provision of quality housing in rural areas.
  • Focus on improving the health and nutrition of rural people.
  • Make all efforts for the rapid development of rural electrification and communication systems.
  • Modernize and streamline the land system and administration to ensure equity and efficiency.

In summary, our party is committed to prioritizing the rapid development of rural areas at all levels, thereby paving the way for the prosperity of the majority of the people of Bangladesh. We will focus on developing the rural economy and society through the implementation of mass-oriented agricultural policies and activities.

16. Mass-Oriented Agricultural Policies and Activities

Recognizing that eighty percent of the population in rural areas are farmers, our party is determined to make Bangladesh self-sufficient and self-reliant in agricultural production by implementing progressive agricultural policies. We will make comprehensive efforts to double the production of food grains and agricultural products, leading the country toward self-sufficiency.

To achieve this, our party will:

  • Strengthen integrated agricultural practices.
  • Provide necessary agricultural machinery and materials, and offer practical training to empower farmers and make them successful and efficient.
  • Support poor and small farmers through effective organization and assistance to improve their livelihoods, thereby making the national economy self-reliant and strong. We will adopt a realistic land reform and distribution plan to support this goal.

Our agriculture, animal husbandry, and fisheries policies aim not only to make Bangladesh self-sufficient in food but also to transform it into a food-surplus country. This will enable us to expand our path to national prosperity by exporting food crops, agricultural products, and fish.

17. National Development on Co-operative Basis

Our party recognizes the significant role that a well-organized and widely supported cooperative movement can play in driving substantial national development, particularly in rural areas. We understand that bureaucratic complexities and the influence of middlemen hinder the growth and success of cooperatives in our country. Additionally, public awareness and understanding of cooperatives need to be improved. To address these challenges, our party government will undertake the following measures:

  • Eliminate bureaucratic complications in the cooperative sector and take decisive action against opportunistic and corrupt middlemen.
  • Promote formal education and conduct extensive social service and welfare programs to enhance public understanding of cooperatives.
  • Strengthen social service activities to foster a cooperative spirit and ensure the success of the cooperative movement.

By implementing these measures effectively, the party government will develop the cooperative movement as a catalyst for agricultural and cottage industry development. It will provide an economic integration platform for rural farmers, laborers, small business owners, professionals, and others, leading to increased national production.

18. Creative Productivity and Democratic Labor Policy

Our party acknowledges the importance of sound coordination and equality between labor and national interests in a national industrial-labor policy. We are committed to ensuring that workers receive their rightful dues and benefits. Moreover, we will emphasize the development of constructive and productive attitudes and activities in the labor field. Workers' rights to form and operate fair trade unions will be protected, and the organized trade union movement will be developed as a defender of workers' rights and national interests.

19. Health and Family Planning Activities Based on Overall Quality of Life Development

Our party recognizes that successful health and population control programs require a holistic approach to development. Previous attempts at national health, nutrition, and family planning programs have often focused on narrow aspects of life, leading to relative failures. To ensure the success of health and family planning efforts, our government will:

  • Devote tireless efforts to overall economic development for the poor and illiterate rural population, which constitutes a significant majority of our country.
  • Promote social consciousness and cohesion among the population.
  • Strengthen community development and social welfare initiatives, laying a strong foundation for economic, educational, and social progress. By integrating health and family planning programs into the broader framework of quality-of-life improvement, we aim to achieve sustainable success.

20. Mass-Oriented and Life-Oriented Education Programs

Our party supports the recent efforts to reform the colonial education system. We are committed to implementing an education system that fosters national unity, increases productivity, and promotes personal and social development. The rapid expansion of science-based, technical, and vocational education will be prioritized to address the issue of unemployment among educated youth. Our main objective is to eradicate illiteracy and provide education that is relevant to life and supportive of overall development. We aim to create a nationwide movement for formal and practical education to eradicate illiteracy.

21. Ensuring the Development of Communication Systems

A well-managed communication system is essential for the development and prosperity of a country like Bangladesh. Our party will continue to strengthen efforts to improve all communication and transport systems, including rail, road, air, and sea transport. By enhancing these systems, we aim to facilitate rapid development of the national economy, particularly the rural economy, and leverage the potential of our human resources.

22. Key to Prosperity: Utilization of Natural Resources

Bangladesh possesses diverse and versatile natural resources that remain largely unexplored and underutilized. We recognize that proper development and extensive utilization of these resources are crucial for national economic development and prosperity. Our party government will formulate modern and practical policies to harness the potential of Bangladesh's natural resources, including stone, oil, coal, gas, porcelain, water, solar energy, forest products, and animal resources. We will take strong actions in accordance with this policy to ensure the development and prosperity of our country and its people.

23. Massive Efforts for the Development and Prosperity of Underdeveloped Areas and Communities

Our party recognizes that certain regions and communities in Bangladesh have not been adequately involved in national development processes, resulting in their relative underdevelopment. We are committed to strengthening overall human, social, and economic development in these areas and communities. Concrete measures will be implemented to facilitate rapid and meaningful progress, particularly for tribal populations and those residing in remote areas who have historically faced educational, economic, and other challenges due to exploitation and misrule.

24. Armed Forces: Safeguarding Sovereignty

The armed forces of Bangladesh play a crucial role in safeguarding national sovereignty and independence. To ensure the effectiveness of our brave armed forces in defending the country, our government will:

  • Provide comprehensive arrangements for necessary training, orientation, and vital organization of the armed forces.
  • Strengthen the people-based defense system, which emphasizes the active participation of citizens in national defense.
  • Ensure that the National Defense Forces receive adequate support and resources to fulfill their professional requirements in an equitable manner.

25. Empowering Freedom Fighters for National Progress and Prosperity

The freedom fighters who fought in the great liberation struggle of 1971 are at the core of our national consciousness and unity. Our party and government are dedicated to implementing well-designed programs that enable them to participate in practical, creative, and constructive activities. To achieve this:

  • We will enhance the organization of freedom fighters and engage them in the development and prosperity of themselves, their families, and the nation.
  • Opportunities for training and skill acquisition will be provided to support disabled and vulnerable freedom fighters, empowering them to become self-reliant.
  • The history of the liberation war will be preserved and promoted in its authentic form.
  • Significant events and locations related to the liberation war will be identified and preserved as national landmarks, ensuring their lasting significance.
  • We will preserve and showcase authentic documents and documentary history of the liberation war to inspire future generations at a national level.

26. Preservation, Development, and Promotion of Bengali Language and Literature

Bengali language and literature are integral to our national identity and self-realization. The historic language movement of 1948-52 was a crucial step towards the success of our national liberation. Our party and government are committed to ensuring the full and dignified establishment of the Bengali language and literature in national life.

We will strive to make Bangladesh the primary center for the future development and prosperity of the Bengali language and literature. To achieve this, our party will:

  • Strengthen the teaching of Bengali language and literature in schools and colleges.
  • Coordinate and support institutions and organizations dedicated to the development of Bengali language and literature.
  • Promote the wider use and dissemination of the Bengali language at all levels of national life and take immediate steps to translate textbooks and research books for higher and secondary classes into Bengali.

27. Development of Bangladeshi Literature, Culture, and Sports

Our party recognizes the importance of organized and comprehensive development in the fields of culture, literature, and sports to foster the creative talents of our nation and ensure fair and holistic progress. To achieve this, we will:

  • Establish cultural and sports centers in all areas of the country in a phased and systematic manner.
  • Provide practical assistance and support to public and people-oriented initiatives in culture, literature, and sports.
  • Offer training and development opportunities to talented individuals and groups in these fields from across the country, converting their achievements into national pride and wealth.

28. Religious Education

Religion holds a significant place in our heritage, and Bangladesh is home to diverse religious communities. Islam is the predominant religion followed by the majority of our population. Our government will make every effort to ensure that the teachings of Islam are fully integrated into the lives of Muslims. Similarly, we will also work diligently to provide religious education in accordance with the beliefs of other religious communities. Our goal is to establish Bangladeshi nationalism on a strong foundation by ensuring greater benefits and participation opportunities for all religious communities, particularly in disadvantaged areas of national life. We will take special care to preserve religious and cultural rights and promote social and economic development.

29. Elements and Objectives of National Foreign Policy: Independence, Sovereignty, Prosperity, and International Amity

Our party recognizes that in order to achieve organized national development and prosperity, Bangladesh must establish itself with respect and dignity in the international community. The principles of international friendship, amity, and peace should be fostered and secured based on the independent and sovereign equality of all nations. The foreign policy of democratic Bangladesh is guided by the goal of realizing the dream of equality rooted in sovereignty and independence, reflecting the will of the Bangladeshi people against international intrigue and conflict.

Our party is committed to a foreign policy that strictly adheres to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and nations. The main objectives of our foreign policy include:

a) Full support for the Charter of the United Nations and its principles.

b) Active participation in efforts to deepen and perpetuate international peace and harmony.

c) Strengthening solidarity and affinity with developing countries in the Third World.

d) Maintaining and expanding deep and lasting friendships with all Muslim countries.

e) Providing full support for the establishment and protection of the just rights of Arab and Palestinian brothers.

f) Continuing efforts to strengthen alliances with non-aligned countries.

g) Enhancing friendship and cooperation with neighboring states, particularly those in Southeast Asia.

h) Extending support to revolutionary liberation movements in regions around the world where oppressive colonial, dictatorial, minority, imperialist, and expansionist rule and exploitation persist.

The primary objective of our party's foreign policy is to safeguard the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh and expand friendly cooperation with all countries. This will create a peaceful and developmental environment that promotes the development, happiness, and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh.
