At today's press conference, held on March 24, 2025, at BNP’s central office in Naya Paltan, I mistakenly and without verifying the facts mentioned that over fifty police officers organized an Iftar gathering at the Police Officers' Mess in the capital last Friday—which is incorrect.
In reality, police officers participated in an Iftar gathering at the Police Officers' Mess last Friday. During the event, police officers who have been deprived and subjected to irregularities under one and a half decades of Awami misrule spoke about their rights.
We have learned that discussions were held on supporting the current interim government in restoring law and order and on ways to strengthen the police force.
I unintentionally mentioned this information in my statement without verifying its accuracy, and I sincerely acknowledge this mistake.
