Former President of BNP’s Sakhipur Thana unit in Shariatpur district, former Joint Secretary of the district BNP, and former UP Chairman, S. M. Zakir Hossain, passed away today while undergoing treatment at Azgar Ali Hospital in the capital. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his demise.  

In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, "I extend my deepest condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family of S. M. Zakir Hossain.  

A firm believer in the ideology and principles of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam, and the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism, the late S. M. Zakir Hossain dedicated himself wholeheartedly to strengthening and advancing BNP in Sakhipur Thana and Shariatpur district. He actively participated in democratic movements and struggles under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Additionally, as a public representative, he contributed significantly to the development of his area. I pray to the Almighty to grant him Jannah and give patience and strength to his grieving family."

The mother of Omar Ali, President of BNP’s Baghaichhari Upazila unit in Rangamati district, Fazilatun Nesa, passed away yesterday afternoon due to illness and old age. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un. She was 88 years old at the time of her passing. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over her demise.  

In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said,  "Like her family members, I too am deeply saddened by the passing of Fazilatun Nesa. As a devout and benevolent woman, she was highly respected among her neighbors.  

 I pray to the Almighty to grant her Jannah and give patience and strength to her bereaved family members."
