
Condolence Message from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
Bir Muktijoddha, prominent social worker, and journalist Rashiduzzaman Runu, the elder brother of BNP’s Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, passed away today at 3 PM while undergoing treatment at Islami Bank Central Hospital in Kakrail, Dhaka. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. He was 75 years old at the time of his passing. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his demise.
In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, "Like his family and loved ones, I am also deeply saddened by the passing of Rashiduzzaman Runu. As a valiant freedom fighter, he will always be remembered by the nation for his courageous and heroic role in fighting against the Pakistani forces for the liberation of our motherland. As an honest and fearless journalist, he always upheld the truth. He was also known as a devout, esteemed social worker, a just and virtuous individual, respected and honored by the people of his community. I pray to the Almighty Rabbul Alamin to grant him Jannat and to give his grieving family the strength to bear this loss with patience."
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir prayed for the forgiveness of Rashiduzzaman Runu’s departed soul and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
