BNP’s Acting Chairman, Mr. Tarique Rahman, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Olifa Akter Kanta Islam, the wife of BNP National Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan.  

In a condolence message today, the Acting Chairman of BNP said:  

"Like the bereaved family, I too am deeply saddened by the passing of Olifa Akter Kanta Islam. As the devoted wife of Nazrul Islam Khan, she always encouraged and inspired her husband in his political endeavors. Through her relentless efforts, she ensured the proper education and establishment of her children.  

I pray to the Almighty Allah to grant her a place in Jannah and to give strength and patience to her grieving family members."

In his condolence message, BNP’s Acting Chairman prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of Olifa Akter Kanta Islam and expressed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
