BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of two distinguished individuals, former State Minister for Social Welfare Fatima Kabir and Akhtar Ara Begum.  

 BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's Condolence Message  
Former State Minister for Social Welfare Fatima Kabir, who served under the cabinet of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, passed away this morning at her residence in Dhanmondi due to old age complications. She was 82 years old at the time of her death.  

In his condolence message, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said:  "The late Fatima Kabir was a patriotic politician. Widely recognized as a popular leader in her locality, she was deeply committed to the principles and ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and believed firmly in the philosophy of Bangladeshi nationalism. She devoted herself to organizing and strengthening the BNP in the Comilla region. Driven by a noble vision of public service, she actively contributed to the development and progress of her constituency and the country during her tenure as the State Minister for Land under President Ziaur Rahman's government. Her passing has left me profoundly saddened.  
I pray for the eternal peace of her departed soul and extend my deepest sympathies to her grieving family, admirers, and well-wishers.”

Akhtar Ara Begum, the elder sister of Mahmudur Rahman Manna, President of Nagorik Oikya, passed away early this morning at Ibn Sina Hospital in the capital due to old age-related complications. She was 85 years old.  

In his condolence message, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said:  "I express my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Akhtar Ara Begum on her passing. Known as a pious woman, she was highly respected and revered by everyone in her community. I pray to the Almighty to grant her eternal peace and to bestow patience and strength upon her bereaved family members to endure this great loss.  
May her departed soul rest in peace, and may her family, relatives, and admirers find solace in this difficult time.”
