A.F. Hassan Arif, Adviser to the Interim Government for the Ministry of Land and Civil Aviation & Tourism, a renowned lawyer, and former Attorney General, passed away today (Friday) at the age of 84 due to old age. *Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.* BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his demise.  

In a condolence message, the BNP Acting Chairman said, “I extend my deepest condolences and sympathy to the grieving family members of A.F. Hassan Arif, the Adviser to the Interim Government and a distinguished legal expert. In the current political context, the passing of such an experienced and wise lawyer has created a void in the nation. His contributions to the legal profession will remain ever-etched in the hearts of his colleagues and the next generation of lawyers. His thoughts on the rule of law will continue to serve as a source of strength and inspiration for democratic political parties.
