Condolence Message of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
Gias Uddin, the President of BNP in Sonagazi Upazila, Feni district, and a former Union Parishad Chairman, passed away last night at 10:20 PM. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. He was 60 years old at the time of his passing. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Gias Uddin.
In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, “The late Gias Uddin was deeply committed to the ideals and philosophy of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam and the principles of Bangladeshi nationalism. He worked with dedication to strengthen, energize, and establish Sonagazi Upazila BNP in Feni district on a solid foundation. Additionally, he demonstrated remarkable courage in every democratic rights movement under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, serving as an inspiration to local BNP leaders and activists. He was also a popular leader who contributed significantly to the development of his area as a public representative. I am deeply saddened and grieved by his death. I pray to the Almighty that he grants Gias Uddin a place in Jannah and gives patience to his bereaved family.”
In his condolence message, the BNP Secretary General prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
