On the Occasion of the Historic November 7
National Revolution and Solidarity Day, BNP Organizes a 10-Days Program
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 12:00 PM, a joint meeting was held at the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan under the chairmanship of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, marking preparations for the Historic November 7, National Revolution and Solidarity Day. The meeting was attended virtually by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman as the chief guest, alongside senior leaders, central organizational secretaries, and representatives from Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP, as well as district and city-level BNP leaders and allied organizations.
The meeting began with prayers for the health recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia.
The following resolutions were adopted unanimously:
1. On November 7, flags will be raised at BNP’s central office in Naya Paltan and party offices across the country starting at 6:00 AM.
2. On November 6, an intellectual discussion meeting will be held in honor of the day.
3. On November 7, at 10:00 AM, BNP leaders and activists will place wreaths and offer prayers at the tomb of former President and Independence Declaration Leader, Shaheed Ziaur Rahman.
4. On November 8, a colorful rally will be held in the capital.
5. Rallies will also be held in districts across the country.
6. BNP's affiliate and allied organizations will organize discussions and other events independently.
7. JASAS will hold a cultural program at the National Martyrs' Memorial at 6:30 PM, with similar events in divisional cities.
8. A documentary on the November 7th events will be released via electronic, print, social media, and online platforms.
9. Posters and brochures commemorating November 7th will be published.
10. Throughout the country, BNP and its allied organizations will observe the National Revolution and Solidarity Day on November 7th through local programs, including discussion meetings and other activities, with due respect and significance.
