Statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir:
"Yesterday, Israel carried out an airstrike on Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, resulting in numerous casualties. Many children, women, and men have been injured or killed in these attacks, and numerous structures have been destroyed. Yet, the world remains silent, acting as mere spectators. I strongly condemn and protest these actions. The United Nations Security Council continues to hold discussions, yet they have not been able to put an end to this horrific and deadly war. The public is starting to question the effectiveness of the United Nations.
I urge the concerned parties to immediately stop this deadly, conscienceless, and senseless war. We believe that if this war is not stopped, the world may be drawn into further conflict. I call upon the United Nations to take effective measures without delay to address this situation."
