Condolence Message of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

BFUJ President and senior journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi passed away today while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un). BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his death.

In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, “I am deeply saddened by the death of Ruhul Amin Gazi, a renowned senior journalist in the country. His departure from the world is an irreparable loss for the nation. He was always vocal against the anti-democratic actions of the fascist Awami government, which has taken away democracy and controlled the media. Throughout his journalism career, he was fearless and unwavering in fulfilling his professional responsibilities. He never bowed to the illegal government's intimidation. His sharp and clear voice in favor of democracy remained steadfast, undeterred by the wrath of the government. Like the people of the country and his family, I too am deeply hurt and pained by the death of Ruhul Amin Gazi. I pray for the forgiveness of the departed soul and extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, colleagues, and well-wishers.”
