Statement and Condolence message of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman
Last night, Lieutenant Md. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjan of the Bangladesh Army was stabbed to death by miscreants while on duty in the Purbo Maizpara area of Dulahazara Union, Chakaria Upazila, Cox's Bazar District. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep concern over this heinous murder committed by the miscreants.
In a statement today, the BNP Acting Chairman said, “Following the fall of the tyrannical Awami regime, miscreants have continuously engaged in terrorist activities to destabilize the country. These conspirators are attempting various malicious activities to put the interim government in a difficult position. The brutal killing of Lieutenant Md. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjan by the miscreants last night while on duty is part of this ongoing pattern. By murdering a young officer of the army, the miscreants have made their presence known. If these criminals are not suppressed with a firm hand, the safety of the lives and property of the country's people will face severe threats. The conspirators are waiting to exploit the situation by creating chaos. Therefore, to ensure democracy, peace, stability, and the security of the people in the country, all segments of society must unite to suppress these miscreants.”
The BNP Acting Chairman strongly condemned and protested the killing of Md. Tanzim Sarwar Nirjan, urging the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the culprits. He prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and extended his deepest condolences to the grieving family.
