BNP’s Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman gave the following message on the occasion of the Holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH):
Message:
"On the day of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the magnificent being of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) appeared in this world. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of the last Prophet, a festive occasion for Muslims. The arrival of the greatest human being, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as the best of creation, marks a day of immense honor, significance, and joy. Today, on this day of the emergence of the guide of humanity and the pathfinder of faith in Allah, He has been elevated to a supreme status. It was on this day that humanity found the way to salvation in both this world and the hereafter. The birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a miraculous event, ensuring the welfare and peace of mankind and providing enlightenment to escape from the dark era of oppression, superstition, cruelty, social discord, inequality, and human rights violations. That is why he has been called the liberator of humanity.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is an extraordinary model for all of humanity. Through his qualities of integrity, honesty, benevolence, tolerance, hard work, self-confidence, immense courage, patience, unwavering faith in the Creator, devotion, and enduring suffering, he carried out the great responsibility of establishing the oneness of Allah as revealed in the supreme scripture, the Holy Qur'an. In the age of ignorance, where lawlessness, injustice, violence, infanticide, adultery, and vices such as alcohol and gambling were rampant in society, his arrival as ‘Rahmatullil Alamin’ (Mercy to the worlds) abolished the darkness of that era and established truth and justice. His example of serving the oppressed, neglected, and distressed people, his respect for others, tolerance of differing opinions, and his unmatched virtues of kindness, forgiveness, duty to children, and the dignity of women have made the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) the most exemplary human being in all of history.
I pray to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, that we all may reflect the teachings, ideals, and sacrifices of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in our lives. On the occasion of the Holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to my Muslim brothers and sisters in Bangladesh and around the world.
I send countless blessings and peace upon the last Prophet, Sayyidul Mursalin, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
Allah Hafiz, Bangladesh Zindabad."
