BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's Condolence Message
Veteran freedom fighter and former Assistant Secretary for Liberation War Affairs of Chattogram Metropolitan BNP, M.A. Matin, passed away this morning while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. He was 79 years old at the time of his death. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of M.A. Matin.
In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, "I am deeply saddened by the death of M.A. Matin, just as his grieving family is. During his tenure as the Assistant Secretary for Liberation War Affairs of Chattogram Metropolitan BNP, he worked tirelessly to establish the organization on a strong and solid foundation. The late M.A. Matin, a follower of the principles and ideals of former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, played a courageous role in every democratic movement under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia, which is undoubtedly commendable. The nation will forever remember his contribution as a brave freedom fighter in the independence war of '71 with great respect. The late M.A. Matin was an honest and virtuous person. I pray that the Almighty grants him Jannah and gives the bereaved family members the strength to bear this deep sorrow."
In his condolence message, the BNP Secretary General prayed for the forgiveness of M.A. Matin's departed soul and expressed his deepest sympathy to the grieving family members, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers.
