Condolence Message of BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman

Brave freedom fighter, member of BNP's National Executive Committee, and Convener of the Jatiotabadi Matsyajeebi Dal, Alhaj Rafiqul Islam Mahtab, has passed away. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman has expressed deep sorrow and condolences over his death.

In a condolence message today, BNP Acting Chairman stated: "I deeply empathize with the bereaved family of Alhaj Rafiqul Islam Mahtab. He was profoundly committed to the principles and ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and believed in Bangladeshi nationalist philosophy. The late Rafiqul Islam Mahtab played a pivotal role in organizing and strengthening the Jatiotabadi Matsyajeebi Dal. The nation will always remember him with respect for his heroic contributions in the liberation war of 1971.

I pray for the forgiveness of the soul of Alhaj Rafiqul Islam Mahtab and extend my deepest sympathy to the grieving family, admirers, and well-wishers."
