Condolence Message from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

Shamsunnahar Begum, the mother of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) President Md. Shahidul Islam, passed away due to old age complications at Ibn Sina Hospital in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, early yesterday morning. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un. She was 81 years old. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow and condolences over her passing.

In a condolence message today, the BNP Secretary General said, “I am deeply saddened by the death of Shamsunnahar Begum, just as her family members are. She was a devout and benevolent woman, respected by everyone in her community. Shamsunnahar Begum dedicated her intelligence and efforts to raising her children as well-educated and good citizens. I pray that the Almighty grants her Jannah and gives her bereaved family the strength to bear this loss.”

In his condolence message, the BNP Secretary General prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and extended his deepest sympathies to the grieving family, relatives, and well-wishers.
