Condemnation and protest of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep concern and expressed deep concern over the police raid on the residence of Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur last night and the arrest of a leader from there.
In a statement today, BNP Secretary General said, "The current ruling group is ruling the country in an undemocratic way by taking control of the law and order forces and ignoring the democratic principles. As a result of ruling the country in disregard of public opinion, the current government without voters has become a symbol of radical dictatorship in the world. Opposition leaders-activists are being arrested and jailed on false cases by law enforcement forces, dead people are also accused in disappearance cases. Zulum — Police raided the residence of Gana Adhikar Parishad president Nurul Haque Nur last night and arrested a leader from there as part of the crackdown. In this incident, it has been proved once again that the justice system in the country has become meaningless. The country has been turned into a police state. The opposition parties in the country are not given the minimum opportunity to do politics. Awami authoritarian government is continuously depoliticizing the country to enjoy its power forever. However, the democratic and freedom-loving people of the country will never let their dream come true. The people will stop all the plots of the current ruling group. Its reflection is already reflected on the streets. It is proved by the large gathering of people in all the programs of the opposition party on the streets that the people of the country do not want to see this illegal ruling group in power for one more moment.
The current Awami government has forgotten what fate has befallen brutal dictatorships over the ages. I strongly protest against the police raid on the residence of the president of the People's Rights Council VP Nur and the arrest of a leader from there and demand the immediate unconditional release of the arrested."
