Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP said, ‘The Karbala which was composed in Khulna yesterday Friday is unprecedented. 300 of our activists were injured in the police attack here. Half a hundred activists have been arrested. In addition, a case has been filed in the name of 1300 activists.

He said this at a press conference organized by District and Metropolitan BNP at Khulna Press Club’s VIP lounge on Saturday (May 20) at 4:30 pm.Rizvi said, ‘We have also held rallies in other districts of the country. The gatherings have been obstructed in various ways.’

He also said, ‘The police will shoot openly and paralyze the activists, this is the language of democracy? This is now the biggest question for the people. Public meetings are peaceful events. There is no conflict here. But the Khulna Police-Administration has created this bloody conflict. The police administration of Khulna is responsible for this violent terror.’

Earlier, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi came to Khulna to see the activists injured in the police attack. On Saturday (May 20) afternoon, he met the injured activists and their relatives at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
