Admiral M. Nazmul Hassan, the outgoing Chief of the Bangladesh Navy, paid a courtesy call on BNP Chairman and Honourable Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman.

The meeting took place this afternoon, Wednesday (22 July 2026), at the Prime Minister's Office in the Bangladesh Secretariat.

During the meeting, they discussed a range of important issues relating to the protection of national sovereignty, maritime security, the modernisation of the Bangladesh Navy, and other matters of national interest.

The Honourable Prime Minister commended the outgoing Navy Chief for his distinguished service, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to the modernisation of the Bangladesh Navy, the enhancement of its operational capabilities, and its continued development as a highly professional force.

The outgoing Navy Chief, in turn, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Honourable Prime Minister for his continued guidance, support, and cooperation throughout his tenure.

Following the meeting, the Honourable Prime Minister take lunch with outgoing Chief of the Bangladesh Navy.
