BNP leaders and activists gathered in front of the party office around 12:30 pm with colourful processions from various wards, carrying placards and posters in a festive mood.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia delivered a speech via video link at the BNP's grand rally at Naya Paltan, her first since 2018.

Thousands of party members chanted slogans and demonstrated in front of the party office. The rally officially started at 2:00 pm.

BNP leaders and activists expressed their gratitude to the student community of the country for ousting the fascist Awami League government.

A display monitor was set up in front of the stage to display the party's Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman speech virtually.

Around 11:45 am, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi arrived at the central office. The activists welcomed him with slogans.

New posters were put up on the streets for the rally in the area. Some posters described BNP Chief Khaleda Zia as the "Mother of Democracy."

A BNP leader of Dhaka South City Ward 36, Ismail Khan, told the Daily Observer, "Today is a day of joy for all of us. Today we can hold a rally freely. There are no police, no obstacles. I cannot express this feeling of freedom in words."
