The High Court has directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to remove all the recent statements of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from social media. At that time, there was a 30-minute row between pro-BNP and pro-Awami lawyers in the courtroom of the High Court. At one point, the judges left the courtroom.

The petitioner applied to the High Court after eight years for the hearing of that rule. But the notice was not issued properly as the address of Tarique Rahman was wrong.

Because of this, the High Court ordered to correct the address and submit the application again. According to that instruction, the court ordered to correct Tarique Rahman's address and issue a notice. The notice was issued last week.
