Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi paid tribute to national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam on his death anniversary with flowers at his shrine.

On Sunday (August 27) morning, he visited Kabir's tomb next to the central Jame Masjid of Dhaka University and paid his respects.

BNP leader said that national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam has traveled in every field of Bengali literature. Currently, the country is under fascist rule, there is no democracy in the country, there is no freedom of expression. Poems, songs and ideals of the national poet inspire us in the movement and struggle of the people who have lost their rights and democracy against the illegal government. Encourages our democratic movement. When we march, when we raise slogans, when we go to jail, this great poet's poetry inspires us.

Rizvi Ahmed said, today Begum Khaleda Zia is imprisoned, Tariq Rahman cannot come to the country while speaking for democracy. He was also wrongfully convicted. Thousands of activists are still in prison. National poet is one of our inspiration to get rid of this. Soon the government will be forced to resign and a non-partisan neutral government will be established, inshallah.

BNP health affairs secretary Dr. was also present at this time. Rafiqul Islam, JASA convener Helal Khan, member secretary Zakir Hossain Rokon and others.
