The 39th martyrdom anniversary of former Naval Chief, former Communications and Agriculture Minister, father-in-law of the BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Zubaida Rahman's father Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan was observed. On the occasion of the 39th martyrdom anniversary of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, Sunday was observed in different countries across the country and around the world with various events including Dua Monajat, Quran Khatam.

On the occasion of the 39th martyrdom anniversary of former Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Chief of Naval Forces Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, Khatme Qur'an, Doa Mahfil and discussions on the late's work life were held in London. Acting Chairman of BNP Deshanayak Tarek Rahman and his wife and daughter of the late Doctor Zubaida Rahman are present at the prayer ceremony.

After the Maghrib prayers, a doa mahfil was organized at Mahbub Ali Khan Bhavan to mark his martyrdom anniversary. A special prayer was held after Asr prayer with the orphan students of Dhanmondi Baitul Aman Jame Masjid and Madrasa.BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Standing Committee member Barrister Zamir Uddin Sarkar, Mirza Abbas, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan's eldest daughter's son-in-law Shafiuzzaman, BNP Vice Chairman Abdullah Al Noman and others were present.
