BNP Standing Committee member Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain said that, there is unwritten Baksha going on in the country. He said, when the Bakshal government was established in 1975, that government closed down all the newspapers except the two government newspapers to prevent criticism. And even though there are many newspapers in Bangladesh today, they cannot publish objective news. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by BNP Media Cell at Dhaka Reporters Unity on the occasion of Media Black Day.

Convener of BNP media cell Zahir Uddin Swapan, co-secretary for information research Quader Gani Chowdhury, president of Nagrik Oikya Mahmudur Rahman Manna, BNP publicity secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, former Dean of DU Borhan Uddin Khan and others were present in the meeting.
