Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP has commented that the illegitimate government is involved in various conspiracies to destabilize the country in a planned manner.

He said this at a press conference at Nayapaltan BNP central office today Monday (May 22).

The spokesperson of BNP said, the whole country is drowning in lawlessness and anarchy, with high inflation, terrible unemployment, and a drastic reduction in people's purchasing power due to the terrible misrule of the illegal government. Sheikh Hasina is struggling to maintain the absolute authority she has acquired by taking away all the rights of the people including freedom of speech and expression. That is why the cruel horror of persecution has been brought down on opposition parties and opinions including BNP. The sole purpose of the mischief they have inflicted on the nation for the past 14 years is to cling to the illegitimate throne.

Rizvi said that thousands of democracy-loving people are being tortured and persecuted for the past 15 years. The government is killing, blinding and maiming countless people by arresting in absentia cases, false cases and indiscriminate firing to thwart the ongoing program announced by the BNP centre.
