BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman shared Iftar with orphans and Islamic scholars (Ulama and Mashaikh).

On Saturday, 07 March 2026, he hosted the Iftar in honor of orphans and Islamic scholars at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka.

Among those who attended the Iftar gathering with the orphans and Islamic scholars were Religious Affairs Minister Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Minister for Social Welfare Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, State Minister for LGRD Mir Shah Alam, Chairman of As-Sunnah Foundation Shaykh Ahmadullah, and Khatib of the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Abdul Malek.

Also present at the Iftar were Adviser to the Prime Minister Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. A K M Shamsul Islam, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister A. B. M. Abdus Sattar, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Saleh Shibly, and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman, among others.
