Condolence Message from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir

On Tuesday morning, January 7, 2025, a devastating earthquake struck the remote Tibetan region of China, resulting in the tragic loss of 95 lives, numerous injuries, and the destruction of countless homes, according to initial reports. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed his profound grief and sympathy over this heart-wrenching incident.  

In a statement, the BNP Secretary General said, “I am deeply saddened by the immense loss of life and extensive damage caused by the powerful earthquake in the remote Tibetan region of China. I express my solidarity and sympathy with the affected people of Tibet during this tragic natural disaster. The people of Bangladesh stand by them in their time of need.  

I pray to the Almighty that He grants the people of Tibet the strength to endure this great sorrow and hardship. I firmly believe that the affected people in the disaster-stricken areas will rise from the rubble with renewed vigor and rebuild their lives.  

On behalf of the people of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), I extend heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families during this difficult time.  

I pray for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives in the earthquake and express my deep sympathy to their grieving families. I also wish for the swift recovery of the injured and call upon the global community to come forward to assist in rescue and relief efforts.”
