A.F. Hassan Arif, Adviser to the Interim Government for the Ministry of Land and Civil Aviation & Tourism, passed away today (Friday) at 3 PM while undergoing treatment at LabAid Hospital in the capital. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. He was 84 years old at the time of his death. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep sorrow and grief over his demise.

In a condolence message, the BNP Secretary General said, “Like his grieving family, I am deeply saddened by the death of A.F. Hassan Arif. He was widely respected as an experienced, renowned, and distinguished lawyer in the country. As a lawyer, he never deviated from his principles of justice. His passing has created a void in the country's democratic progress.

Shahida Banu Lili, wife of A.K.M. Aminul Haque (FCA), a member of the BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council and a prominent chartered accountant of the country, passed away this morning due to old age at her residence. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. She was 65 years old at the time of her death. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed profound grief and sorrow over her demise.

In a condolence message, the BNP Secretary General stated, “Like her mourning family, I am deeply grieved by the death of Shahida Banu Lili. She was well-known and respected among her community as a pious and benevolent woman. Through her dedication and effort, she ensured her children were well-educated and established in their careers.
