A joint meeting was held today, Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the central office of BNP in Naya Paltan, regarding BNP's 46th founding anniversary and the party's organizational activities. The meeting was presided over by BNP's Senior Secretary General, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi. The Joint Secretaries General, as well as organizational and assistant organizational secretaries of the party, were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the party's founding anniversary and drafted a tentative program. The leaders also expressed their opinions on resuming organizational activities. The meeting paid deep respect to the martyrs who were victims of the brutal massacre carried out by the murderous fascists to suppress the determined movement of the students and the public. The leaders discussed how to observe BNP's 46th founding anniversary in the current changed circumstances, removing the tyranny of the defeated autocracy, the horror of enforced disappearances and killings, reckless lawsuits, assaults, and the misrule of massive corruption. They expressed their well-considered opinions on how to celebrate the party's founding anniversary by embracing the essence of the multi-party democracy and production-development politics established by Shaheed Ziaur Rahman in the present political context. The leaders declared their firm resolve to implement BNP's commitment to the rule of law, the coexistence of diverse opinions, and the construction of a peaceful, stable, and united nation.
