BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Mr. Tarique Rahman attended a luncheon hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The luncheon was held today, Monday, at 1:30 PM local time at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s residence in Putrajaya. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.

A cultural program was arranged during the luncheon, featuring performances by Malaysian artists.

As part of the event, school students performed a dance to the song “Prothom Bangladesh Amar, Shesh Bangladesh”. The two Prime Ministers and their spouses enjoyed the cultural performances.

Following the cultural program, as Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Zubaida Rahman exited the building, Malaysian children and teenagers lined both sides of the entrance holding the national flags of Bangladesh and Malaysia to welcome them. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Zubaida Rahman interacted with the children and affectionately greeted them.

Later, at the main gate in front of the Prime Minister’s residence, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his spouse personally bid farewell to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Zubaida Rahman.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his wife then returned to the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur as part of a motorcade. Several official engagements are scheduled for the Prime Minister there.
